 FAQs

  • We offer mobile puncture repairs to get you back on the road after experiencing a deflated tyre.

Unfortunately we do not offer this service out of hours.

  • While most punctures can be easily repaired, there are some instances where a replacement tyre is needed. We can repair a puncture if:

The puncture is within the central three-quarters of the tyre.

The tyre’s tread depth is over the legal minimum of 1.6mm.

There is no sidewall or shoulder damage to the tyre.

There is no run flat damage, which would affect the tyre’s structural make-up.

There is no ageing or deterioration of the tyre rubber.

  • While booking in for a puncture repair we will also need to quote you for a new tyre.

By doing this we can bring the replacement tyre with us to the appointment, by having a replacement tyre onboard at the time of inspection we can assess the tyre and repair if it’s safe to do so.

But if the tyre is not safe to repair the replacement tyre will be fitted instead.

if the replacement tyre is not needed you will only be charged for the repair.

British Standard BSAU159

British Standard BSAU159 also defines the requirements for safe minor car tyre puncture repair and its proximity to the sidewall. To remain compliant, we are only able to carry out tyre repairs to the central ¾ of the tyre (which is known as the minor repair area). If the puncture is situated outside of this area it is deemed too close to the sidewall to guarantee a safe and lasting minor repair and will not be attempted.
